The European Union has extended sanctions against Venezuela

BRUSSELS, 25 Jun – RIA Novosti. The EU expanded sanctions against Venezuela, adding to the sanctions list of 11 names of officials who are deemed responsible for human rights violations and “undermining democracy”, reported on Monday the press service of the EU Council.

“The Council decided to introduce restrictive measures against 11 individuals, holding official positions. These persons are responsible for human rights violations and the undermining of democracy and the rule of law in Venezuela. These measures include a travel ban and freezing of assets”, — stated in the message.

The total number of persons subject to EU sanctions against Venezuela, reached 18 people.
