Moscow. September 14. INTERFAX – Ukraine Arrived to the Exarch of Patriarch Bartholomew, who is mandated to pave the way for autocephaly, have divided responsibilities: one will work with the so-called “Kiev Patriarchate” and the other with the so-called “Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.”

Both of these organizations are not recognized in the Orthodox world and are the largest of schismatic denominations in Ukraine.

“Both the so-called Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch arrived in Ukraine. In a video appeal posted on the website, canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Onufry also said that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church does not intend to meet with these two representatives of Constantinopole.

“We’ve never met and do not intend to meet, because they came here without our blessings. As representatives of the canonical Church in Ukraine, we have to communicate with them will not, but the way things are going, we’ll follow”, he said.

In turn, the Patriarch expressed the hope that the top clergy of the UOC will “continue the only right way to exercise their Ministry in accordance with the canons of the Orthodox Church.”
