UOC urge not to believe the rumors about the removal of the property of the Pochaev Lavra in Russia

Moscow. September 4. INTERFAX – the Ukrainian Orthodox Church denied the rumors, though from the Pochaev Lavra began to export goods to Russia.

“Beware of fake! An outright lie, I just called in to the monastery, I said, all is quiet, the monastery lives an ordinary life, brethren pray. I am surprised, first, that from one post on Facebook what little-known people make a scandal, and secondly, that this inclined to believe. So do not believe!” – wrote on the personal page in Facebook on Tuesday, the Deputy head of the Department for external Church relations of the UOC Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich.

It clarifies on its website the Union of Orthodox journalists, informed Tamara Lozova wrote in the social network that she called friends from Pochaev and reported the “big move” transport from the Pochaev Lavra and back with a purpose as they think “to take out in the rush to maximize all that you can take”.

In recent times, recalled in the message, the media began to actively publish provocative fakes associated with the Pochaev monastery. Recently, the community has charged that local priests do not admit children if they pray in Ukrainian. The scandal of “Ukrainophobia” in Pochaev Lavra called “how traditional, equally absurd and invented from the beginning to the end.”
