Moscow. September 14. INTERFAX – the Holy Synod took the decision that all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church is now committed prayer for the preservation of Orthodox unity.

“We made the decision that all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church for the divine Liturgy to pray about the unity of the Holy Orthodoxy”, – said the head of the Synodal Department for external cerkovnaja Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk on Friday following an emergency meeting of the Synod in Moscow.

According to the Hierarch, the Holy Synod has already formulated the text of prayer donations, which will distribute the Russian Orthodox churches.

“We are deeply convinced that if this issue will be resolved not unilaterally by the Patriarchate of Constantinople, and brotherly discussion of the local Orthodox Churches can be found a solution that all calm down, all will reconcile and will fully heal the divide,” he concluded.
