How rich is the founder of Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited? Frank is obviously very rich as he is one of the Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited founders, a racing car company used to fight to secure their win in Formula 1. But now they race as Williams Racing team in Formula One. Frank’s lust for cars started when he drove his friend’s Jaguar XK150. After he pushed the accelerator, he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. A ride can change Frank’s life. And now we know him as the founder of a racing team and racing cars. But unfortunately, Frank lost his legs in a horrible car accident. But still, he was not ready to give up.

Frank himself was a racing driver and a mechanic. But when he retired from his racing profession, he dedicated his life to making other racers’ lives comfortable. As he was a racer himself, he knew what could make a driver’s life more comfortable while competing to win. So he sat down the list of things he would like to add to his car while he was racing and turned that list into a reality. In 1966, he founded Frank Williams Racing Cars. His work funded his project as a traveling grocery salesman. He ran drivers, including Piers Courage—for several years in Formula Two and Formula Three. Frank purchased a Brabham Formula One chassis, which Courage drove throughout the 1969 Formula One Season. He ended up securing a second position with the help of the beauty he was driving.

But unfortunately, Courage fell to his demise, and Frank was forced to find another partner. In 1970 he partnered with Alejandro de Tomaso. But it wasn’t a match, and their partnership fell apart in 1971.

Frank Williams Rising From His Ashes

The year 1972 marked the first F1 car built by the Williams works, the PolitoysFX3 created by Len Bailey. However, it didn’t work out so well, and Frank ended up bankrupt. Pescarolo crashed and smashed it at its first race.

Frank Williams founded a new partner in Canadian that was Oil Magnate Walter Wolf. Though the team remained functioning, it no longer applied to Frank, and he left in 1977, along with one of his agents, engineer Patrick Head. The two acquired an empty carpet warehouse and declared the establishment of Williams Grand Prix Engineering. The very same team and partnership still race in Formula One. They are currently based just outside of Oxfordshire.
