The Agency is now working on the space station Gateway. It will be in orbit of the moon and turn into manned the command center. Between “Gateway” and the lunar surface will ply reusable landers. “We think we will be able to achieve this for about 10 years”, — said the Director of NASA, Jim Breidenstein.

The moon will be a testing platform for testing of space technologies, risk assessment of long-haul flights and their impact on human physiology, and studies the possibility of using resources of the satellite to survive on its surface. The experience gained can be transferred to the mission to colonize Mars.

NASA has called nine partners, which will help to return astronauts to the moon Astrobotic Technology, Deep Space Systems, Draper, Firefly Aerospace, Intuitive Machines, Lockheed Martin, Masten Space Systems, Moon Express, Orbit and Beyond.

It is noteworthy that the Director of Firefly Aerospace is a Ukrainian businessman Maxim Polyakov. The company is engaged in the development of missiles of light class, and this spring, she opened R&D center in the river, where about 120 people.

As for the Russian lunar program, it is divided into three stages. In the first phase (approximately until 2025), the Federal space Agency will be engaged in development of technologies on the ISS. Then followed by manned flights and delivery of elements of the future base, the Assembly which will end after 2035.
