Gazprom chose the route of “Turkish stream” to Europe bypassing Ukraine

The company “Gazprom” has chosen the route of “Turkish stream” to supply gas to Europe bypassing Ukraine, according to Kommersant. The new route will pass through Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia.

The company is already involved in the booking procedure of new pipeline capacity in these countries.

Also booked input power to the system in Austria from Slovakia in the amount of 3.8 billion cubic meters per year. Procedures in the framework of the auctions is not yet fully completed, this should occur by March 2019.

According to sources, Gazprom is going to book all of the proposed capacity. In the monopoly declined to comment.

Until now, representatives of Gazprom and the Russian government refused to say exactly how the gas “Turkish stream” will run in Europe, emphasizes the publication.
