PJSC “Ukrposhta” has launched a programme to reduce administrative staff by 30%. According to the CEO of the company Igor Smelyansky at a press conference on Thursday, a document he signed on the morning of 1 November and appealed to the unions with notice.
“This is a 30% payroll of administrative staff. And it’s not the top management. Administrative staff are considered and accountants, and it specialists, and others. And therefore Yes, it is 30% of payroll of non-productive staff,” he said.
Smila also said that there are still month for the approval of a new tariff for delivery of pensions, after which, perhaps, do not have to implement all of the planned reduction.
We will remind, the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman promised to prevent the termination of the “Ukrposhta” delivery of pensions to Ukrainians, and its management offered to resign if it does not agree with the importance of this social function.
In September the General Director of “Ukrposhta”, said that the company will cease to deliver the pensions if not approved the new tariff for delivery. For the first 9 months of this year, the company lost more than 1 billion UAH for the delivery of pensions at the rate of 2004, which covers only 60% of its cost.
As reported, the first three quarters of this year, Ukrposhta increased revenues from parcels and packages to more than 1 billion UAH.
