Today Apple will present the new products. For this event chose the building of the Brooklyn Academy of music (Brooklyn Academy of Music) in new York. We had guesses about what it will show this day, but Apple has maintained the suspense until the end. And one of the novelties — updated MacBook Air.

What’s new

The new model has finally received a Retina display. The screen size of the laptop remains at 13.3 inches, but the number of pixels increased to 4 million. Frame around the screen are thinner, also “complete” the fingerprint scanner TouchID.

The case is made of recycled aluminum, so MacBook Air has safely earned the prefix “eco”.

The keyboard still used the “butterfly”, but the third generation (hopefully this time without breakdowns and “tulipani”). The touchpad has increased by 20%, it is fully touch, and vibration feedback of Force Touch simulates clicks.

In General, the modern MacBook Air became thinner (only 15.6 mm), smaller (17%) and lighter (weight — 1.24 kg).

Filling

Running the laptop is running Intel Core i5 processor, the eighth generation. RAM — 16 GB SSD — 1.5 TB.

The new MacBook Air will also be able to boast its battery life: Apple promises up to 13 hours of watching movies and TV series. Another bonus is the three microphones and improved sound quality of the speakers.

The new generation has left only two USB Type-C with support for Thunderbolt 3 and a headphone Jack.
When and how much to wait

Orders for the new MacBook Air will begin to accept today and sales will start on 7 November. There is a choice of dark grey, gold and steel colors.

Together with the design and specs updated and the cost of devices: the most affordable MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM and a drive capacity of 128GB costs $1199.
