The Petersburg deputies declared a break in meetings on the day of the relics of Alexander Nevsky

Saint-Petersburg. September 11. INTERFAX – Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg announced a recess for a single day – September 12, when have to pass a citywide procession dedicated to the celebration of the relics of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky.

The resolution as a whole voted 43 Deputy, two abstained.

As reported, the Parliament of St. Petersburg unexpectedly postponed the first meeting after the summer break on Tuesday, while plenary sessions are traditionally held on Wednesdays.

The speaker of the legislative Assembly Vyacheslav Makarov linked the recess of Parliament with the day of the relics of Alexander Nevsky and invited journalists to join a city-wide procession with the cross.

It is expected that together with the procession along the Nevsky prospect will carry the relics of St. Spyridon.
