Moscow. 8 Aug. INTERFAX – a Guide to the SIZO “Lefortovo” refused to allow the priest to arrested on charges of treason by the resident of Kaliningrad Antonina Zimina, said Wednesday an employee of the Public oversight Commission (POC), Eugene Enikeev.
“Antoninus asked the investigator’s permission to meet with the priest, but was refused,” wrote E. Enikeev in his blog.
The human rights activist noted that the woman “looked depressed, and when told about the ban on meeting with the priest wept”.
In addition, the investigator refused A. Zimina admission in the case to protect the lawyer Ivan Pavlov. “He motivated the refusal by the fact that Antonina’s already got a lawyer on the agreement”, – said E. Enikeev.
A. Zimin told the representative of the PMC that is already four days not eating because of no appetite, only drinks water and coffee.
“Antonina also found a roommate, and now she’s in another cell with another woman. But Antonina wrote a statement asking to move her back to solitary confinement, with no complaints to the new neighbor was not, apparently, so just one more comfortable,” wrote human rights activist.
Earlier, Executive Secretary of the PMC Ivan Melnikov has informed “Interfax” that A. Zimin was taken to the SIZO “Lefortovo” on 4 July. Then Lefortovo court of Moscow chose concerning it a measure of restraint in form of arrest for two months.
A. Zimina charged under article 275 of the criminal code (treason). The guilt, the woman does not recognize and does not understand why he was arrested.
A. Zimina is an independent expert of the club of friends of the Gorchakov Fund. On the club’s website as her professional interests claimed identity of the political elite of Latvia, the policy of Baltic States towards Russia.
