Magas. 7 Aug. INTERFAX – Ingushetia on August 17 sent 18 tons of humanitarian aid for Syrians affected by the fighting, reported “Interfax” the press service of the head of the Republic.
“The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov at the meeting with the permanent representative of the Republic under the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow Alikhan Tsechoev and assistant Advisor Luay Youssef discussed holding in Syria, another large-scale humanitarian action on the occasion of the approaching Holy Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha,” – said the Agency interlocutor.
According to him, the event will be held on August 17 in Aleppo – the second largest city of Syria – for residents severely affected by the fighting and in dire need of humanitarian assistance.
“We will distribute food packages in the amount of 18 tons to thousands of families affected by military action”, – cited the press service of the words of L. Yusef.
The campaign, entitled “the City of Aleppo from the people of Ingushetia” will be held in the sports complex “al-Assad” with the participation of soldiers of the Russian battalion of the military police of Ingushetia.
With the Syrian side, the event is expected to involve the Governor of the province of Aleppo Hussein Djaba, Director of the Department of social Affairs and labour of the province, as well as a number of MPs and public figures.
This is already the eighth humanitarian action that Ingushetia will organize for the brotherly Syrian people.
Humanitarian aid to Syria, the region was sent in mid-June of this year. The action was timed to the end of the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan. In the city of HOMS was sent 18 tons of humanitarian aid. Prior to this, the Republic pursued a similar event in Damascus.
