After watching her win a Bafta for her role as Princess Margaret in the Netflix series The Crown, it is difficult to imagine, Vanessa Kirby, without a tiara, puffing on a cigarette.
But imagine we must Widow, as she is now, opposite Tom Cruise in the latest Mission: Impossible movie as the White.
And this time she plays the ruler of a completely different world as a black-market arms dealer.
She spoke with the BBC about the swapping of roles, Tom Cruise, her Emmy-nomination and handing over the reins of Helena Bonham Carter.Juggling two huge orders
Kirby confesses that she knows a lot about the White Widow on the first, because the script was the exciting stunts that we have come to know and developed all the time, it was love.
She was still filming for the second series of The crown in London, to travel as you began to shoot Paris at night, Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
Kirby describes the White Widow as a “femme fatale-esque, criminal network boss”.
She says: “It was a great challenge to try and play two completely different people and not to try, Margaret, without a wig!

In the center of this ensemble Tom Cruise’s character in the series, IMF agent Ethan Hunt.
Kirby says: “He played this really famous, very popular character and he has to have seen all the different incarnations of… someone, in the center, that is just very relaxing, it’s like: ‘Oh, cool, you know what works-energy”, and there is no uncertainty in the way.”
Brings a sense of calm in the bustling, Vanessa also learned a thing or two from the Hollywood veteran.
“I learned a lot about work ethic and discipline,” she explains.
“He is just incredibly present and energetic and enthusiastic, and not for a second, he loves to make movies.
“You only see the six-year-old in him that just absolutely loves movies and can’t believe he is still allowing you in a way and it is so nice to be here.”
Kirby says, they also picked up some health tips.
“I learned how important physical fitness is and how the actors really in touch with what I, myself, never thought of that before.”
As well as an award-winning star, Cruise is also a part-time daredevil and often death-defying stunts in many of his films, including Mission: Impossible.
Fallout was no different, and in the last year, the actor made headlines, and looked to break his ankle during a stunt, it to jump between the two high-rise buildings in London.

Director Christopher McQuarrie told the BBC that when he went to see, Cruise was shortly after the accident, the first thing he was asked of the actor: “we Have the shot?”

Kirby was in Paris, when she found out she was nominated for the Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series. for The crown earlier this month.
“It was a really surreal moment, and very sweet and my friends were just was much more emotional than I am.
“I had the best time of my life to work, so I could not ask for anything else, really.”
Kirby now has the reins of Helena Bonham Carter, who is handed over, the Princess in the third season of the Netflix drama.
Kirby says she “wouldn’t have thought to assume that someone better”.
“She is just so beautiful, she was so gracious and kind and considerate, and mindful.”
Kirby adds: “it is already SMS me, actually, and I’ve heard that you do, even small things, which echo what I linked in the first couple of series and stuff, so we feel really.
“You know, if you just love a character so much and it is such a part of you that is strange, because the experience was so happy, it’s really cool to share it with someone,” she explains.
“It is really unusual, because normally such an individual thing, to talk so to be able to, her [Margaret] with someone else so intimately is a real gift.”
