First look at The Crown to the new Queen


The first photo of Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix drama The Crown has been revealed to the fans.

The real demonstration of the Twitter account published a picture of Colman in the nature, drinking tea, while dressed in a suit of pale pink and a pearl necklace, with the teasing message of “Patience”.

The star of Broadchurch and The Night Manager takes over from Claire Foy, who represents the Queen of his commitment to Prince Philip in 1947 to 1963.

Colman will be in the series of three and four, the first of which will air in the year 2019.

Last year, Colman said she was “very happy” to play the Queen, adding that Foy would be an “incredibly difficult to follow.”

It is not yet known how much of the Queen of life, she is going to cover, or can take over your should more seasons to be confirmed.


Colman is not the only actor taking over an already established character in the Netflix success.

Tobias Menzies will step into the role of Prince Philip, who was portrayed by Matt Smith, and Helena Bonham Carter is in charge of the Princess Margarita of Vanessa Kirby.
