Paul Ryan stressed the “vital need” for NATO

The speaker of the U.S. house of representatives Paul Ryan has called NATO “vital” organization, but said that the President trump was right, putting Germany and other allies to the need to fulfil the commitments to increase defense spending.

“NATO is vital (organization). This organization today is no less important than ever,” said Ryan to reporters.

“The President was right, noting that our NATO allies must meet their promises to allocate 2 percent of GDP on defense, – said the speaker. – Germany – the largest economy in the EU, it has to allocate two percent on defense, as promised.”
