Baron Cohen in the series to be aired on Channel 4

Sacha Baron Cohen is to return to TV with a new satirical comedy series, which will begin next week on Channel 4 in the UK and Showtime .

The Borat star has been secretly filming the seven episodes for a year.

The show, which airs on Showtime on Sunday, scored his first series for the TV since Da Ali G Show in 2004.

Showtime has said That it is the America? “to explore the different individuals… across the political and cultural spectrum”.

The network promises to show you the comedian and actor “as you have never seen before.” The series will begin in the UK on Channel 4 at 22:00 BST on Monday.

Last week, the comedian teased his return in a video that shows Donald Trump berating him as a “third-rate character”.

Another preview clip shows the former us vice president Dick Cheney apparently agrees to autograph “waterboard kit” – actually a plastic water jug.

“No one knows how to make a stir as Sacha Baron Cohen, and it will be fascinating to observe what happens when the ones in America? is released to the world.”

Baron Cohen is best known for hoaxing the respondents as the comedy characters: Ali G, Borat Sagdiyev and fashion reporter Bruno, who inspired the big screen movie.
