Kemerovo. July 2. INTERFAX – the Ministers of the Orthodox Church of Archangel Michael in Miner area of Kemerovo count the damage caused by a fire that occurred in the night of Monday, have informed “Interfax” in the parish.

“The fire damaged icons, including ancient, Church utensils, icons. Two of the domes are left with only the frame, while the estimated amount of the damage and its scale. Now the building is protected, access to it is allowed, but being in it, we believe, unsafe,” – said the Agency interlocutor.

The temple was built at the expense of the family and friends of the former Governor of Kemerovo region Aman Tuleev.

The representative of the parish doubted that the cause of the fire could be faulty wiring, because “the building is new, and recently it was tested for fire safety”.

In turn, a source familiar with the situation, reported that the cause of the fire could be arson. “At the scene of the fire found two bottles of suspected flammable liquid,” – said the Agency interlocutor.

The fire completely burnt down the roof, while no one was hurt.
