MOSCOW, may 27 — RIA Novosti. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said after talks with Vladimir Putin that he expects to solve the issue of concluding a peace Treaty between the two countries already at the living generation.

Putin, for his part, noted that it is necessary to patiently continue to seek a solution which would meet the interests of both countries, and would be accepted by their peoples.
Joint activity in the Kuril Islands
According to Vladimir Putin, Russia and Japan are happy with the implementation of the agreement on joint economic activities on the Kuril Islands, aquaculture, greenhouses, package tours, wind energy and recycling.
In turn, Abe said that the parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of these joint projects. Agreed to send to the island a business mission of potential project participants. He said that this can be done in July or August.
Earlier, Putin noted that the signing of a peace agreement is possible through the conduct of joint economic activities on the Kuril Islands, as well as the development of bilateral relations.
