The relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov brought for worship in Oxford

London. June 14. INTERFAX – St. Nicholas Church Oxford arrived the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, reports the diocese of Sourozh, which borders the Russian parishes of great Britain and Ireland.

Earlier the Shrine was brought from Diveyevo in Nizhny Novgorod region in London.

On arrival in Oxford the temple with a large gathering of the Orthodox faithful of the city in front of Holy relics was made public prayer.

During the visit, the delegation from Russia visited the grave of Archimandrite Nicholas (Gibbs), who at one time taught English to the crown Prince Alexis is the son of the last Russian Emperor.

Later, a cleric of the Dormition Cathedral in London Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky made a presentation of the English translation of the book of the Holy Martyr Archimandrite Seraphim (Chichagov), “Annals of the convent”.
