United Russia has nominated Vorobyov the post of Moscow region Governor

The Moscow regional branch of the party “United Russia” following the results of the primaries nominated the incumbent Governor of Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov in candidates on a post of the head of the region, reports TASS.

“In the ballots was made five candidates. The results were as follows: Roman Volodin — 8 votes, Vorobiev Andrey — 199 votes, Valentina Kabanova — 15 votes, Lysenko Alexander — 7 votes, Tolmachev Alexander — 3 votes. The results of the voting are invited to nominate a candidate of the Moscow regional branch of the party “United Russia” Vorobyov Andrei Yurevich, who scored the results of the secret ballot the majority of votes”, — said the Chairman of the audit Committee Alexander Kostomarov.

Election campaign at elections of the Governor of the Moscow region started on 8 June. Candidates for the post of Governor of the Moscow region can run only on the parties the nomination of the regional law.

Elections in the region will be held in a single voting day on 9 September. Acting Governor Andrei Vorobyov has announced his intention to run in late may. “The strategic objective is to make the suburbs a strong, healthy and clean,” he said.

Sparrows headed the Moscow oblast in September 2013, during the elections, he scored 78,94% of the vote. Since November 2012 he held the post of acting head of the region.
