Moscow. June 6. INTERFAX – the Russian foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist attack in Kabul on June 4 and called on the Afghan authorities to take measures to ensure security in the country.
“On 4 June, a suicide bomber committed the attack against the Muslim religious leaders who participated in the meeting of the Ulema Council in Kabul, killing at least 14 people. Responsibility for the attack claimed by the Islamic state (banned in Russia),” – said in the comments of the Department of information and press of the Russian foreign Ministry on the website of the guardian.
“We condemn the barbaric terrorist attack. We Express our condolences to the families of the victims and wish speedy recovery to the injured. Urge the Afghan authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure security in the country”, – stated in the commentary.
It stresses that the terrorist attack in Kabul reaffirmed the need for decisive struggle of the entire world community against international terrorism, “to strengthen in recent years their activity in Afghanistan.”
