Pyongyang in recent days did not respond to the query US in trying to plan the logistics of the summit, said on Thursday U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo. The Secretary of state made the first comment after President Donald trump has cancelled planned for the 12 June meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN.
“We failed to organise the necessary preparatory work of the two teams that would be needed to conduct a successful summit,” said Pompeo at the hearing in the Senate, adding that recent statements by Pyongyang were regrettable.
Thus, according to Pompeo, he did not believe the cancellation of the summit a sign that Kim Jong – UN is a “weak leader”.
“In fact, he demonstrates a powerful ability to lead his country and his team,” said the senators.
