Donald trump will meet with NATO Secretary General

Jens Stoltenberg will visit Washington next week

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg next week will visit Washington. In a statement the press service of the White house, released Friday, said that the main theme of the visit will be forthcoming at the July summit of the Alliance. During a meeting with Donald trump on may 17 will discuss “the need for a fair distribution of (financial) burden” among the countries-members of NATO.

Donald trump has repeatedly stated that the US are the biggest costs to support the activities of NATO, urging other countries to increase their military spending. In 2014, member countries of the Alliance agreed that by 2024 will contribute to the budget of the military-political organization of at least 2% of GDP.
