Moscow. April 20. INTERFAX – on the day of the opening of a flagship store of the publishing house “the Scribes”, which is the largest store of Jewish literature in Russia and the CIS was attended by over 600 buyers.
“We didn’t expect such a rush and queues. Nice to see that among the clients were not only our regular customers but also new faces – so the interest in Jewish literature in Russia is growing. Never in Russia was not such store of Jewish literature, customers have noted the unusual format and the interior, which in turn we are also very pleased”, – said the head of the publishing house Boruch Gorin.
The store began its work after the reconstruction, now it has been expanded several times, has two floors of bookshelves.
Currently the store features more than 500 titles of books of the same publishers, and exclusive of English literature, Hebrew and Yiddish. In addition, the shop sells historical, artistic, scientific, religious literature, books known to the world Jewish classical writers, contemporary Israeli writers, books about world war II and the Holocaust, cookbooks of Jewish cuisine, the works of famous rabbis, children’s books, and more.
