Saint-Petersburg. April 13. INTERFAX Leningrad regional court on Friday rejected the appeal of the priest Gleb Grozovsky, who was sentenced to 14 years in strict regime colony.
About results of consideration of the appeal complaint in court, the journalists said the lawyer, priest Mikhail Utkin. “The verdict is upheld,” said the lawyer.
The meeting was held behind closed doors.
According to the norms of the current legislation, the verdict of the court of first instance comes into force immediately after the decision decision on appeal.
As reported by “Interfax” earlier in the diocese of St. Petersburg, Grozovsky will not be defrocked until the sentence enters into force.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, it is established that in the summer of 2009 Grozovsky in the Orthodox children’s camp in Leningrad region has made in respect of minor girl “sexual acts with a special cynicism, using a helpless condition of the victim because of their age”.
In June 2013 the priest in Greece in the camp of the Orthodox youth club made “sexual acts” in the apartment where lived two girls born in 2001 and 2004 year of birth.
In the fall of 2013 Grozovsky was declared in the international search. 21 Sep 2014 he was detained in Israel on September 7, 2016 extradited to Russia.
