Brabham Automotive BT62 confirmed for May reveal

The launch of the Brabham cars is supposed to be developing a high-performance supercar as part of a new project announced called BT62.

The company has confirmed that its new car will be shown in May following a “rigorous and comprehensive programme of engineering”, which is now said to be reaching its completion.

Although no details about the model have been released, the BT62 should take the form of a powerful model of the performance because its name links it to the abandonment of a line of racing cars produced by the original of the Brabham brand.

It suggests that the model, the exhaust note of this can be heard in the clip below, will be extremely hardcore and potentially the track. This would tie in with the Brabham name of the story, because it has been synonymous with Formula 1 since three-time world champion, Sir Jack Brabham first took to the grid in 1955.

Brabham’s Car was launched by Sir Brabham, the son of David Brabham, a former Formula 1 driver and Le Mans winner himself, last month, two years after the name of the company was first registered with the UK companies House.

Brabham said the Coach last year that he wanted “to see the name back on the right track”, suggesting the launch of the rental car company could lead to a motorsport programme in the future.

As revealed by Autocar last year, a Brabham racing re-entry that followed the launch of a brand of car would go hand-in-hand with a strategy employed by McLaren Automotive.

Formula 1: what are the changes to expect from the pinnacle of motorsport

A spokesman for the Brabham refrained from commenting on the idea of a return to the race, noting that the car company was “constantly approached on several projects” and that it “will reveal more about the [automobile] the project and its intentions shortly”.

Previous speculation linked to the new Brabham Automotive brand with the Force India F1 Team, which, it was believed, could be taken over in the middle of an action to its owner, the magnate of Indian affairs Vijay Dickenson. But the Force India team, has revealed his 2018 F1 challenger at the beginning of this month, the repression of all links of a takeover.
