US job growth surges in February

The creation of jobs in the u.s. economy increased last month, but the annual rate of wage growth has slowed.

The economy has created 313,000 jobs in February, according to official figures, far exceeding analysts ‘ expectations.

However, the unemployment rate remained at 4.1%, while the annual rate of earnings growth has slowed to 2.6%.

In January, the annual wage growth rate, which had triggered fears about inflationary pressures have also been revised down from 2.9% to 2.8%.
