The jury returned its verdict of the Supreme Court of Victoria this afternoon, after the beginning of its deliberations, the Thursday.
Speaking outside the court, Ms. Dearing the adoptive mother of Mariah Strahan said the trial had been difficult for the members of the family to hear of the way Chayse is death.
She said she hoped Lindsey, who blew a kiss to her before he was escorted out of the court, was to live â€œthe rest of his daysâ€ in acts of torture.
Speaking outside the court, Ms. Strahan said the trial had been difficult for the family members to hear the details of how Chayse’s death.
â€œThis is torture. It has been very difficult to sit in court and listen to the injuries that Chayse had,â€ she told journalists.
She said she hoped that Lindsey was reminded of what he has done for the baby all the days he has spent in prison.
â€œYou can’t explain what he has done. None of us knows why he did it…it is that obviously the evil in him,â€ Ms Strahan said.
â€œWhat I think of him, is that he can rot in hell.
â€œI hope that the rest of his days to live in torture, as he has done for Chayse.â€ She also stated that the guilty verdict brought relief to the family. â€œThe people of Victoria have spoken, they are no longer going to put up with to hurt the children, and the children.â€What happens in a criminal trial? 2:01
