Poroshenko has put into effect a decree of the Council about the application of sanctions on 4 banks

President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree that enacted the NSDC decision of March 1, 2018 “On the use of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)”. The decree published on the website of the presidential Administration.

Sanctions are applied for one year in the prevention of withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine for the benefit of the banks associated with individuals to PJSC “savings Bank”, PJSC “joint-stock commercial industrial-investment Bank”, PJSC “VTB Bank”, PJSC “BM Bank”.

The decision was taken in accordance with article 5 of the law of Ukraine “On sanctions” and in support of the proposal of the National Bank of Ukraine. Monitoring its implementation is entrusted to the Secretary of the NSDC.

The decree comes into force from the date of its publication.

As reported, the Council extended sanctions against banks with Russian capital.
