The temple of the XVII century in Butyrskaya Sloboda will be included in the “program-200”

Moscow. March 5. INTERFAX – the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Butyrskaya Sloboda, built in the XVII century, decided to make it part of the “program-200”, to guarantee the final restoration of this Church.

“The temple is part of a unique architectural ensemble, nowadays almost lost. Of the temple there were headless bushel, unrecognizable disfigured by the additions of the Soviet era. Currently decapitated temple transferred to the ROC. In a cavern of the altar, installed temporary iconostasis and already there are regular services. But the building urgently needs restoration and restoration”, – informs on Monday a press-service of state Duma Deputy Vladimir resin, who oversees the program for the construction of new churches in Moscow.

The object is included in the Federal program “Culture of Russia”, but for large-scale restoration works insufficient funds. For this year allocated 25 million rubles to carry out the necessary emergency work. The bell tower on Butyrskaya street came under the jurisdiction of Moscow – it is fully restored, there also are services.

The parish Church, in need of systemic organizational assistance to ensure the rehabilitation works have expressed a desire to include this object in the “program-200” and asked Vladimir resin to get the restoration work under his personal control.

“Our program involves not only the construction of new churches in Moscow, but also includes the monitoring of restoration and reconstruction of monuments of historical and cultural heritage. The experience we have, and the results known to the Muscovites.
