Poroshenko signed a law on criminal responsibility for incitement to suicide

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed law No. 4088, which involves up to 3 years of restriction or imprisonment for incitement to suicide. This is evidenced by data contained in the card bill on the website lie.

Incitement to suicide or to attempt suicide will entail restriction or deprivation of liberty for a term up to 3 years. Including, if the person was abused, blackmailed, systematically humiliated, or forced to do what he wanted. In the rule of law also referred to “the encouragement of suicide” and “other actions that contribute to suicide”.

The law will enter into force on the day following publication in the official parliamentary newspaper “Voice of Ukraine”.

Recall, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the document in February this year, 229 votes of people’s deputies.

We will remind, earlier it began to get famous so-called “group of death” in social networks. Teens “recruited” into the group, offered game quests with self-harm, with the ultimate goal of which was suicide. It was noted that the organizers of such groups, it was difficult to prosecute because of the lack of necessary regulations in the Criminal code.

For this reason the cyber-police gave advice to parents how to prevent children’s suicides.
