Savchenko regret that Poroshenko didn’t break bones

Verkhovna Rada Deputy Nadiya Savchenko commented on the clashes of protesters with the police under the building of the Ukrainian Parliament and expressed his regret that none of the officials, including President Petro Poroshenko, was not injured. The MP called senseless clashes in front of Parliament if they do not lead to the fact that “the people’s representatives, the government and the President do not break bones”. The politician also questioned the dangers of the actions of the protesters, despite the fact that they have brought to the Parliament of the tire.

“While the tyres are set on fire, I wouldn’t say that it’s such a big threat. But, perhaps, the police thought otherwise. I am very sorry that there was a skirmish between the people and the police, which, in principle, with the people. And one of the deputies is not hooked,” said Savchenko.

On the morning of February 27 in front of the Parliament, clashes broke out between security forces and protesters from the tent camp, organized by the “new forces” — the supporters of ex-President of Georgia and former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili.

During the brawl, injuring at least 14 security forces, and arrested nine protesters. According to the adviser to the interior Minister of Ukraine Zoryan Shkiryak, the protesters used the explosive packages, Molotov cocktails, batons and metal objects.
