Bush believes in the intervention of Russia in the elections in the United States

The former US President called Putin “a brilliant tactician”

The former U.S. President George W. Bush believes that “there is very clear evidence that Russia intervened” in the U.S. presidential election in 2016.

Bush said this, speaking in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.

Former US President called the President of Russia Vladimir Putin “a brilliant tactician who has the ability to see your opponent’s weakness and use it.”

However, Bush also said that Putin thinks in terms of “who”.

“He’s not thinking: how can we both win? He only thinks so: how do I win and you lose?”– said the former President of the United States.

Bush spoke Thursday at a summit in Abu Dhabi, organized by the Milken Institute – an economic research centre of California.

He said that it is unclear if Russia’s intervention effects are not the result of the election, however, according to him, it is clear that Russia has tried to exert such influence.

“If a foreign state intervenes in our elections, then it is a problem,” Bush said.
