Since the beginning of 2018 in Kiev for 150 patients with measles – KSCA

Since the beginning of 2018, as of February 1, in Kiev, recorded 150 cases of measles. This was stated by the Director of the Department of health of Kyiv city state administration Valentyna Ginzburg, the press service of the administration.

“From the beginning of 2018, as of the morning of 1 February in the capital was 150 cases of measles among which 95 are children,” she said.

According to Ginsburg, the situation of infectious diseases “is not critical, but is wary”.

She also noted that currently the incidence of SARS in Kiev “is below the epidemic threshold, however, there is some growth – in particular, by 25% among students.” According to her, during the last week of January, fell ill about six thousand inhabitants of the capital, and 134 of 195 hospitalized children.

“If you or your child suffers symptoms such as headache, muscle pain, sore throat, cough, runny nose or stuffy nose is the reason for an immediate medical examination. The particular importance of this axiom becomes when we are talking about children, ” she concluded.

January 16, the acting Minister of health Suprun said that the measles outbreak in Ukraine came from Romania.
