The former Imam of a mosque in Kurgan taught his disciples extremist views, they are condemned for incitement to terrorism – FSB

Kurgan. 30 Jan. INTERFAX – the Volga district military court of Samara has sentenced 20-year-old kurgans to a fine of 200 thousand rubles for the propaganda of terrorism.

“A young person sentenced under part 1 of article 205.2 of the criminal code (public calls for terrorist activity and public justification of terrorism)”, – have informed on Tuesday “Interfax” in a press-service of management of FSB of Russia across the Kurgan region.

It is established that the kurgans in your account in “Vkontakte” promoted video and audio materials that advocate terrorism.

In the summer of 2017, the same court sentenced another 20-year-old kurgans to the same penalty for propagation in the web of armed Jihad.

Both young men were under the ideological influence of his religious mentor Ali Yakupov, who held the post of Imam of the Grand mosque of the Mound from 2015 to 2017.

According to the FSB, the former Imam sermons on the “purification of Islam” and recommended to theological education in foreign educational centers.

Before appointment to the mound in 2015 A. Yakupov served in the Penza region, where the investigating authorities initiated against him a criminal case for public calls in mosques for the destruction of the Jews, which was terminated in connection with the expiration of the limitation period.

However, earlier it was reported that the Kurgan city court acquitted the former Imam of the local mosque, who was accused of inciting hatred and enmity “b” part 2 article 282 of the criminal code. He was justified “in connection with absence in its actions of structure of a crime”.

A. Yakupov was accused, temporarily fulfilling duties of the Imam-Khatib of Kurgan religious organization of Muslims, posted on a social network comment on the article, which, according to the investigation, excites hatred against members of a particular social group.
