From Luhansk to Lviv: Where in the schools in Ukraine taught in Russian language

Education in the Russian language get 7% of Ukrainian students – 277 512 thousand children. Only on the territory of Ukraine is 622 educational institutions where Russian is the main language of instruction.

Most of these schools in the East and South of the country.

So, in Kharkiv region has 107 schools, with a total of 46 927 children in Russian. In the Odessa region 107 schools in 49 188 thousand Russian-speaking Ukrainians.

100 in Russian-language schools are located in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions 55 45 thousand 589 thousand and 79 students respectively.

In the Zaporozhye region in 81 school lessons on Russian language for 35 thousand 616 students. In the East in 53 schools for 14 613 thousand Ukrainians.

Also there are Russian-language schools in Nikolaev, Kherson, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Transcarpathian, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions.

No Russian-language schools there in the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Rivne, Khmelnytsky regions and Kyiv city.
