The United States imposed new sanctions in connection with North Korea’s nuclear program

The sanctions were imposed on natural and legal persons, as well as ships, assisted Pyongyang in the development of weapons

The United States on Wednesday stepped up economic pressure on North Korea – related efforts to curb its nuclear program, imposing sanctions against 16 9 legal and physical persons and 6 vehicles, which allegedly helping Pyongyang in the development of weapons of mass destruction.

The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions against two Chinese trading companies, involved in export of metals and other commodities used in the arms industry of North Korea, totaling millions of dollars.

The Treasury has also imposed sanctions against several officials of the workers ‘ party of Korea who work in China, Russia and Abkhazia, and urged the countries concerned to extradite these individuals.
