Kiev. 22 Jan. INTERFAX – the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine is ready to take decisive steps to return the held in the Donbas citizens and imprisoned in Russia, has informed on Saturday a press-service of the head of state.
“Ukraine is ready to take decisive steps to return our boys home,” – said P. Poroshenko.
The President also expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian churches for the support of the process of release of prisoners and support their families.
“I’ll be a very welcome aid to the Church in the release of political prisoners in Russia”, – said P. Poroshenko.
It is noted that during the meeting with Metropolitan Onufry and the President’s representative in the Trilateral contact group Iryna Herashchenko, Poroshenko discussed the release of several military.
The President also appealed to the Church to support those who are on the uncontrolled territories of Kiev, and the provision of humanitarian assistance.
Primate has promised to do his utmost for the further liberation of the Ukrainians. “People want to be free, he was created by God is free, he wants this freedom,” said the Metropolitan.
