To any ruler in the world there is this thousands of daily pilgrimage, one night is not worth to touch the tomb!” he said in may after the divine Liturgy at the Holy protection monastery in Moscow, which he made on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the repose day of blessed Matrona, whose relics are kept in this monastery.

St. Matrona was born in 1885 in Tula province. From birth she was not just blind – she did not have eyes, but the girl possessed the gift of spiritual sight. According to the biography, from her early years she had led not only human sins, crimes, and thoughts. She felt the approach of danger, foresaw natural and public disasters. Through her prayers people received healing from illness and consolation in afflictions.

In 1925 Matrona moved to Moscow and lived there until the end of his days. 2 may 1952 ended the earthly journey of the Holy. Before his death she said, “All, all come to me, tell me how alive, of your sorrows, I will see you, and to hear and help you.”

Matrona predicted that after his death its grave, few will walk, but many years later people find out about it and go in droves for help in their troubles and requests to pray for them. And so it happened: the relics of the blessed always seems to turn the afflicted people who are asking for her help.
