Lexus previews flagship SUV to Detroit LF-1 Unlimited concept

Lexus saw a large SUV coupe model ahead of its Detroit motor show reveal early next year.

The LF-1 Unlimited concept takes the form of a high-riding SUV strongly inclined to the rear of the screen, which suggests a coupe-like roofline.

Super-luxury Range Rover two-door coupe into consideration

Screens at the back showing a conventional layout of seats, while a preview screen, in the front confirms that the car is at least a two-row SUV.

Lexus describes the concept as a flagship model, suggesting that the car, in terms of production, would be an SUV coupe to sit above the range topping RX, just like the positioning of the Audi Q8 in comparison with the Q7.

Little design of the car is revealed outside of the roof line, a split roof spoiler, and rear light bar. The car does not seem to deviate from Lexus ‘ current design language, which uses a lot of angles and lines for a crisp – if the discord – watch. The LF-1-Unlimited seems softer and more rounded than all the models of the brand of the existing line.

The concept was designed by a California-based team of Lexus designers and is claimed to “redefine the boundaries of luxury”, which suggests a a lot more upscale than the bonus offers are actually produced by the brand.
