Some provisions of the bill raise objections from lawmakers
The US President Donald trump on Monday, he met with senior senators-Republicans hoping to increase the chances of adoption of the bill on tax reform.
The President had lunch with members of the Senate Committee on Finance in anticipation of a series of difficult votes in the full Senate on the proposed changes to tax legislation. The bill provides a tax cut for corporations from 35 percent to 20 percent and lower tax rates for millions of Americans, but not for all, depending on financial circumstances.
Trump wrote on Twitter that the bill is “progressing very well” and has broad support. “Just a few changes, partly mathematical in nature, the middle class and employers will be able to save more money,” wrote the President, adding that the plan also calls for simplification of taxation for small business.
