Lawyer Donald trump Jr. confirmed that his client met with Alexander Torshin, but did not discuss the election campaign
The eldest son of the President of the United States Donald trump Jr. last year, had a short conversation with the Russian banker associated with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
This was reported by American broadcaster CBS.
Former Russian Senator, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Alexander Torshin was presented to Trump Jr. at an event organized by the National rifle Association (NSA) in may 2016, said the broadcaster CBS News, citing a source familiar with the meeting.
According to CBS, they spoke for two to three minutes.
A source told CBS that they did not discuss the election campaign trump and basically said firearms.
The attorney representing the elder son of the President, said trump Jr. took part in the Congress of the NSA and was having dinner when his friend asked him to say Hello to Torshin introduced them.”
“They had an informal conversation for several minutes, after which they continued to eat separately,” said attorney Alan Futerfas.
Last week, CBS reported that the Senate Committee on judiciary requested information from White house adviser Jared Kushner on the request to organize a meeting Torshin and the tramp, which he received last year.
