Kiev court tomorrow will consider a request for NABOO on the conduct of a special investigation in relation to Onishchenko and his associates

On Tuesday, November 21, Solomenskiy district court will consider the petition of detectives of the National anti-corruption Bureau (NAB) to conduct a special pre-trial investigation against national Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko and other defendants in the so-called “gas business”. “The facts are hiding from investigation authorities and the court for the purpose of evasion from criminal liability of suspects Alexander Onishchenko, Hennessy Kadyrova, Elena Pavlenko, Sergei, Switchenko, Sergey Kabaeva and Roman Yakimaschenko became the basis for going to court with a request to conduct special judicial investigations. We remind that now the so-called “gas case” against the defendants, who are in Ukraine, is under judicial proceedings”, – stated in the message.

Recall that SAP asked the court to allow in absentia proceedings against the member of Parliament Onishchenko. In addition, recently, the detectives NAB suspected employees “Oschadbank” of involvement in the disappearance 156,8 mln. arrested funds of the company Onishchenko. Later, the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko declared that the suspicions of NABOO about the disappearance of all the confiscated money (1.5 billion dollars) grouping of Yanukovych, including funds Onishchenko (156,8 million and $ 218,1 thousand) were unfounded.

Note that the investigation of the so-called “gas business” NABU began in December of 2015. According to investigators, in the period from January 2013 to June 2016 the members of the criminal organization illegally took control of funds received from the sale of natural gas, amounting to more than UAH 1.6 billion, as a result of PJSC “Ukrgasdobycha” losses were incurred in the amount of more than 740 million UAH. Only the investigation established the involvement in the participation in the “gas scheme” 29. Now 7 people, including the Deputy Onishchenko, are wanted, 12 indictments against 18 persons sent to court, of which against 7 persons have entered into legal force of a guilty verdict.
