Media: the British submarines will be equipped with drones for surveillance of ships from Russia

MOSCOW, November 18 — RIA Novosti. Submarines the UK will soon be able to launch drones from under the water to spy on the Russian ships off the British coast, according to the Daily Mail newspaper.

As writes the edition, almost silent drone Outrider will run in a special container, which will be revealed on the surface of the water. The UAV will send high-quality pictures of the enemy ship, to the crew of the submarine could either avoid contact or attack.

“We could hunt down any enemy with such equipment,” — said a source in the Royal Navy of great Britain. As writes the edition, surveillance stems from the fact that over the past six years in Britain increased the activity of Russian submarines.

It is noted that the Outrider drone can be launched with the push of a button from any platform, including submarines and ships. The drone can operate autonomously or be controlled from a submarine.
