“Touching forehead to forehead”: Lukashenko spoke about the intensification of NATO

MINSK, 13 Dec – RIA Novosti. Belarus and Russia “head-on” contact with the activation of NATO near its borders, said the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting with Governor of Kaliningrad region by Anton Alihanova. However, Lukashenka underlined that does not divide Belarus and Russia “on the limits”, according to Sputnik of Belarus.

“I hope we will continue to develop our relations in precisely the manner that we humans are not strangers, we have a common Fatherland. We do not divide Russia and Belarus on the borders, but trying to build something in common- call it the Union state,” — said the Belarusian leader.

“What is happening at the borders with Belarus, is a mirror reflection of the border with Kaliningrad. We come face to face, forehead to forehead, with the intensification of NATO,” — said Alexander Lukashenko.

“I will not say that they are very much like us — you and us, Russia and Belarus”, — said the President of Belarus.

The head of state emphasized that Belarusians and Russians have no one to rely on but each other, and assured that Russia can always rely on Belarus.

Alikhanov, who first came to the Republic in the status of the Governor, in reply, thanked the President for reception and noted that Belarus lives of the brotherly Russian people. Cooperation between Minsk and the Kaliningrad region it sees primarily in the agricultural sector, however, there are prospects in many other sectors of the economy.
