Star of the TV series “house of cards” confessed to his homosexual orientation
LOS ANGELES – Actor Kevin spacey said on Sunday that he was “more than shocked” by allegations of sexual harassment of a young teenager a few decades ago.
The two-time winner of the award “Oscar” wrote on Twitter that he doesn’t remember about the case.
“If I really behaved as described by [Anthony RAPP], I offer him my sincere apologies for what was an extremely inappropriate drunken behavior, and I regret those feelings, which, as he says, never left him all these years,” he said.
In an interview with the online BuzzFeed actor Anthony RAPP stated that spacey became friends with him when they both played in a Broadway show. RAPP was 14 years old when he participated in the party at the home of spacey in 1986, he said. According to RAPP, to the end of the night drunken spacey took it with him, laid on the bed and climbed on it.
RAPP said that while the 26-year-old spacey firmly held him, he managed to escape and leave the house.
The star of the television series “Star trek: discovery” (Star Trek: Discovery) RAPP, who is now 46 years old, said that he had decided to speak out after charges against the producer Harvey Weinstein, has generated discussion about sexual abuse and harassment in the entertainment industry.
Spacey, who is now 58 years old, first announced his homosexual orientation on Sunday via Twitter.
“The closest people to me know that in my lifetime I have had relationships with both men and women, he said. – I was in love and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life and now I prefer to live as a gay.”
Spacey was resolutely protective of his private life and never spoke about his sexual orientation, but stated that the story of RAPP urged him to confess.
“I want to say about this honestly and openly, and it begins with a study of my own behavior,” he said.
