Symbols of Sevastopol, depicted on the banknote denomination of 200 rubles
Today, October 12, in Russia came into circulation new banknotes of 200 and 2000 rubles. About it reports a press-service of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
The symbols for the new banknotes was chosen by holding a competition in 2016. In his last phase voting across the country, which was attended by over 3 million people, the winners were â€“ symbols of the Far East and the city of Sevastopol.
The green banknote denomination of 200 rubles the symbols of Sevastopol: on the front side of the image of the Monument to the scuttled ships on the back â€“ with views of the Chersonese.
Banknote of 2000 rubles is made in shades of blue. The front side shows the bridge on island Russian, the back of the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur region.
On the front side of each banknote there is a QR code that contains a link to the page of the Bank of Russia with detailed information about the decoration and protective characteristics.
