Uber is the boss, the meeting today is an opportunity to show that the company has changed since he took over.

There is also a feeling that the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, who welcomed the apology, would like TfL to find a way to reach an agreement with Uber in the long term.

But don’t expect the peace to go out today. The most likely outcome is that Mr. Khosrowshahi and TfL commissioner Mike Brown is going to release bland statements about a “useful” meeting, but focus, there are still many problems to be solved.

During this time, Uber’s lawyers are gathering evidence and preparing to launch a call to a long judicial battle, rather than a quick meeting around a coffee can determine if the taxi app has a future in London.
