Pavlensky has dreamed about “the big Bang” in Russia

Artist-actionist Peter Pavlensky had given an interview to Deutsche Welle. The recording of the interview posted on the YouTube channel DW (English) on Wednesday, September 13.

Pavlensky has accused Russia’s liberal opposition in the simulation of the struggle with the government and said he did not believe in non-violent protest. “I think it would be absolutely great if in Russia there was a big Bang. I believe that the big Bang in Russia could start a new life in this dead earth. As anyone understand,” said he.

Actionist told about family life in France: “We do not work we do not pay, and the house in which we sit, we captured”. “The food we take in stores. Here the protection is not very attentive. Transport is also pretty poorly controlled,” said Pavlinsky.

The artist also spoke about the beating of an actor “Театра.doc” Vasily Berezin in October 2016. “I’m not a bully. I’m an intelligent person who does not tolerate rudeness. I began to write man, he started to be rude openly, insult me. And in an intelligent environment, rudeness is not accepted,” he said.

“What with me beginning to happen in Russia after the protest Threat, after release, is a terrible thing. I began to adore,” said Pavlinsky, adding that for the artist, it’s insulting.

He also commented on the matter of artistic Director of “Gogol-center” Kirill Serebrennikov, who is accused of embezzlement of budget funds. “The artists themselves to blame for the pressure. Artists support the regime that play by the rules of power. The artist need money, need a place, some kind of armor that gives power,” he said.

Pavlensky left Russia together with his civil wife Oksana Shalygina and two daughters in mid-January. The artist did not pay a fine in the amount of 500 thousand rubles for the arson of the doors of the building of FSB on Lubyanka. The cause of emigration actionist said, is that a couple is suspected of committing violent acts of a sexual nature.
