Naftogaz of Ukraine has adopted a number of decisions against 65 enterprises of power system for Disposals and restructuring of debts for the used gas. This is stated in the press service of Naftogaz.
The company noted that the treatment 65 of heat supply and heat generating companies and of the decision: to write off debt in the amount of more than 385 million; restructure debt in the amount of about 680 million; to cancel the debt with the full execution of the agreement of restructuring in the amount of approximately 325 million UAH.
â€œShowing a willingness to meet the producers of heat in terms of restructuring their debts, Naftogaz expects the same responsible attitude to the passage of the heating season on the part of the heating enterprises and the relevant local authoritiesâ€œ, – stated in the message.
To guarantee Naftogaz has sent letters to 38 of the heat-supply enterprises included in the Register of the enterprises involved in the procedure of debt restructuring. Naftogaz notified these companies about the willingness to enter into a contract restructuring in accordance with the current legislation, which provides for the granting of a guarantee by a local authority at the conclusion of the respective contract.
It is noted that the absence of a duly executed guarantee from the local authorities actually allows the use of statutory mechanisms of restructuring Naftogaz and deprives the opportunity to give the nomination to such debtors. Failure to provide the guarantees issued with observance of budget legislation by local authorities, threatens the timely delivery and stable passage of the heating season in some regions of Ukraine.
â€œThe company encourages the heatsupplying enterprises and the local authorities to expedite the issuance of guarantees in compliance with all legal requirements for the signing of agreements on debt restructuringâ€œ, – stated in the message of Naftogaz.
According to the Ministry of regional development, the debt of the regional district heating companies for gas decreased from the beginning of 2017 at 22% to 21 billion.
Earlier it was reported that the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine unanimously agreed on the election of Paul Joseph Stanczak President of Ukrtransgaz. Stanczak – comes from the Polish state gas company PGNiG.
